Members and access
Roles, invites, and how to leave or remove people.
Every organization has two roles.
| Owner | Member | |
|---|---|---|
| Create runs, triage findings, leave team notes | ✓ | ✓ |
| Use the V12 API and create API keys | ✓ | ✓ |
| Invite people, remove people, change roles | ✓ | |
| Buy credits, transfer credits | ✓ | |
| Edit the analysis context | ✓ | |
| Link or disconnect the GitHub organization | ✓ | |
| Toggle data privacy settings | ✓ |
The creator is the first owner. Promote a teammate when you need a second person who can manage billing or members.
Inviting people
In a GitHub-linked organization, teammates show up automatically once they're in the GitHub organization and have signed in to V12. For anyone else:
- Go to Settings → Members → Invite people.
- Paste one or more email addresses, choose Owner or Member, and send.
- The recipient gets an email with a join link. You can also copy the link and share it directly.
Invitations expire if they aren't accepted. Revoke or resend them from the Invited tab.
Removing people, changing roles, leaving
Owners can change anyone's role or remove anyone. The sole owner rule is the only restriction: the last owner cannot leave or demote themselves until another owner exists.
Removing a member ends their access immediately. The runs and comments they created stay with the organization.
